A Brontë Botany—Flora in the Classic Novels of the Brontë Sisters!
This gorgeous edition was written by Professor Amy M. King and illustrated by Tugce Okay 🤩 I am absolutely in awe of this gorgeous gift edition!
RATING: 5🌟
WHAT I LOVE MOST:
💖 Glorious hardcover edition with gold foil accents
💚 The most stunning artwork! 60 full-color, natural history illustrations—moody, detailed, and SO eye-catching
🖤 Helpful Brontë timeline at the beginning of the book
💖 Cleverly organized by book titles including: Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, Agnes Grey, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, Shirley, Villette, The Professor, and Poetry
💚 Reading excerpts from each novel in which the botanical was mentioned (heavenly!)
🖤 A list of plants and sources for additional list of reading material
Many heartfelt thanks to Andrews McMeel, Sabrina Dax, Amy M. King, and Tugce Okay for sending an advanced copy of this beautiful book (along with many goodies including two lovely floral bookmarks and a sweet card with a quote from Charlotte B.!) for an honest review.
(I’ve only put the book down so that I could write this post 😂)
Otherwise, I’ve been pouring over every single enchanting entry! (Click on the photo for a closer look!)
A must for any plant-lover and devotee of the Brontë sisters! (My favorite sister is Anne Brontë, though I do love Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë ❤️)
Tell me....Will you be buying this stunning book?
Also, who is your FAVORITE Brontë sister and/or which is your FAVORITE Brontë novel?
I can't wait to hear your answers!

Since we're discussing botanicals, nature and books, I had to share some of the photos from my recent trip back from New Brunswick, Canada with my hubby Ian! It's our #1 place to visit!
Our week away was like some crazy dream...beauty and relaxation in every single moment.
Highlights From Our Week:
(I'm running out of positive adjectives to use...lol!)
🧡 Super colorful and impressive autumn foliage on our drive from New Hampshire up to Canada (and back).
💙 Daily soaks in a wood-fired hot tub at the edge of a cliff (no joke...it was a 310 foot drop...we could barely look at it! lol) The photo I'm sharing looks very deceiving—it's like standing on top of a 22+ story high building!
💚 Reading in our quiet, off-grid cabin with the most incredible Bay of Fundy views from every window!
🧡 Visiting lighthouses, HUGE rocky caves, the Bay of Fundy coastal drive and beaches, walks through the woods and little campfires with toasted marshmallows back at the cabin at night.
💙 Every morning, spending time at a lovely local coffee shop, Shipyard Cafe, (maple matcha latte with almond milk!) and taking advantage of the free WIFI (he he).
💚 Watching old black and white Boris Karloff episodes of Thriller (so fun!) while lounging on the couch together and enjoying snacks—I can't resist these oyster crackers!
